Transfolk WA acknowledges the Whajuk Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we are based. We pay respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Sovereignty was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Our Binder Program provides free binders to those who are unable to afford one.

This program is only possible thanks to generous donations – we are very grateful to everyone who has supported this program.

For information about binders and safe binding practices, head to TransHub.

How does it work?

Complete the online registration form, which includes contact details and measurements.
Once your registration has been submitted, a team member will get in touch with you within 2-3 weeks to let you know if a binder is being posted to you.
As our program depends on donations, sometimes we might not have certain sizes in stock- we will reach out and let you know if there’s going to be an extended wait for a binder.
We send our binders in discreet packaging- there won’t be any mention of binders or Transfolk WA on the parcel.
Click here to find the Binder Program registration form.

Program Eligibility

Our program is for all ages. To receive a binder from us, you must:

  • Live in Western Australia
  • Be currently experiencing financial hardship. We don’t ask any questions about your situation- we just take your word for it. Financial hardship can look like:

-You can’t afford to buy a binder
-Being on Centrelink payments, DSP, or being unemployed
-Someone else being in control of your money (e.g. parents)
-If you were to buy a binder yourself, you wouldn’t be able to afford other necessities

About the Binder

We stock a variety of binder brands, depending on stock and size availability. All the binders we stock are half-length, brand new, and good quality from reputable brands.
We have a few options for colours including black and white. We will try to accommodate colour preferences where we can, but we can’t guarantee you’ll receive a specific colour.
