  • Legal Aid Factsheets– collaborative resources between Legal Aid and Youth Pride Network providing legal information on discrimination, health rights for trans and gender diverse people, and international human rights

Supports

  • Discharged– a lived experience peer organisation that specialises in peer support groups for people with personal experience of suicidal thoughts or feelings. They offer a group for trans and gender diverse people.
  • QLife– Webchat and hotline providing anonymous and free LGBTI peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.
  • Lifeline– A national crisis counselling, support and suicide prevention hotline. Lifeline is not LGBTQIA+ specific, but has undergone training with the National LGBTI Health Alliance to be able to best support trans and gender diverse people.
  • 13YARN– an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crisis support line that provides culturally safe and confidential support, run by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

  • AusPATH– The Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH) is Australia’s peak body for professionals involved in the health, rights and well-being of trans, gender diverse and non-binary people.
  • LGBTIQ Health Australia– Resources for clinicians and the workforce. Reports, webinars, submissions.
  • E-Learning Module: Trans Primary Care– Free online training module for general practitioners, practice nurses and medical students to become familiar with and sensitive to the diverse terminology, experiences, health issues, standards, and referral pathways with respect to trans, gender diverse, and non-binary (TGDNB) clients.
  • E-Learning Module: Trans Mental Health Care– This free module is designed for a range of mental health professionals to become familiar with and sensitive to the diverse terminology, experiences, issues, standards, and referral pathways with respect to trans, gender diverse, and non-binary (TGDNB) clients.
