We have a special event planned on Saturday 30 August 2025 between 5pm and 8pm!

Transfolk WA @ Scitech is event happening for trans and gender diverse community members, their loved ones and friends in WA! Imagine having Scitech almost all to yourselves to explore, play, and learn in a welcoming and friendly space!

Why should you come? Here are a few reasons!

  1. Door Prizes! Win one of many door prizes related to science just for showing up!
  2. You’ll get free access to ALL of Scitech’s interactive exhibits. Push buttons, pull levers, solve puzzles, and see science in action, all at your own pace.
  3. We’re opening up the planetarium! Lean back and take an incredible journey through the stars, planets, and galaxies. It’s an out-of-this-world experience!
  4. Meet Inspiring People! We’ll have amazing trans and gender diverse folk who work in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) fields to share their stories about how they got into STEM and the exciting things they do.
  5. We’ll have dimmed lighting and other sensory-friendly considerations.
  6. There will be some catering provided!
  7. There will be Auslan interpreters or closed-captions for talks and events.
  8. We’re making sure our team includes paid First Nations and People of Colour trans and gender diverse folk. This means you’ll see friendly, familiar faces.
  9. Entry, exhibits, science shows, planetarium, it’s all completely free, so everyone can come and have a fantastic time.

We’ll endeavour to use COVID-19 safe precautions, so if we you are unwell, please do stay at home. There will be masks and hand sanitiser available for those who need it.
