  • Who we’re looking for: Parents, guardians, or primary caregivers of trans or gender-diverse people who have experience navigating this journey and are keen to support other families.
  • What you’ll do: Help facilitate our parent peer support group meetings (in-person), create a welcoming and confidential space, offer non-judgmental peer support, share experiences (if comfortable), and help connect families with resources.
  • Ideal qualities: Empathetic, reliable, good listener, understanding of the challenges and joys faced by families, committed to fostering a supportive environment. Lived experience is highly valued.

2. Event Volunteers:

  • Who we’re looking for: Enthusiastic and organised individuals who enjoy bringing people together and helping events run smoothly.
  • What you’ll do: Assist with various tasks at our community events (e.g., community stalls, pride events, and social activities like community t-shirt tie-dye days). This could include setup/pack down, welcoming attendees, managing registration, providing information, and ensuring a positive atmosphere.
  • Ideal qualities: Friendly, approachable, reliable, proactive, comfortable interacting with diverse groups, happy to pitch in where needed. Availability for specific event dates/times is required.
